Tai Ji Quan (Advanced) with Lhamo

Every Saturday 6:30 to 7:30 am in Joy Community Hall (Opposite Center GH)

Tai chi is a non-competitive martial art known for its self-defense techniques and health benefits. As a form of exercise, it combines gentle physical exercise and stretching with mindfulness. This martial art is an ancient Chinese tradition that has evolved over centuries and even though tai chi developed for self-defense, it has evolved into a graceful form of exercise that’s now used for stress reduction and a variety of other health conditions. Often described as meditation in motion, tai chi promotes serenity through gentle, flowing movements. Lhamo will be teaching 24 forms of Tai Chi Quan (which is a simplified style) for beginners; but according to the students level she will then progress to other forms of Tai Chi Quan like the 42 Style and the 37 Wu Style.

These classes do not require advance registration (drop-in) and they are suitable for intermediate to advanced level regular students. The cost is Rs. 400 for guests, Rs. 300 for guests under 30 years old, Rs. 200 for Auroville volounteers, and on donation for Aurovilians & Auroville New Comers. If you need more information, you can contact directly Lhamo by phone or Whatsapp (+91 9565524237) or write to joycommunity@auroville.org.in.
